By Sultan Teslim  The Lagos State Government has announced the appointment of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, Telade IV , the Alara of Ilara-Epe , as the 6th Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU). The announcement was formally approved by the Governor of Lagos State and Visitor to the University, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu . The decision was conveyed in an official statement signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mr. Emmanuel A. Fanu, dated Sunday, February 15, 2026. The statement was released through the university’s official communication channels.
