She made her way to Adifase Primary Health Care Centre (PHC) in Oyo State, knocked on the gate and waited. “The security man opened the gate and the nurses attended to me immediately,” she recalls. The development was confirmed on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, who announced that the victims had been successfully rescued by security agencies. In a brief statement shared through his verified X handle, Onanuga disclosed that all the kidnapped pupils and teachers had been freed following the intervention and efforts of Nigeria’s security operatives. “Finally, all the kidnapped pupils and teachers in Orire, Oyo have been rescued by our security agencies,” he stated.
