ZAFRAN ROYAL FOUNDATION SUPPORT STUDENTS WHO ARE PREPARING FOR JAMB
By Arakunrin OluwaseunayofunmiOn Saturday, 6th of January 2024, Zafran Royal Foundation an NGO based in Odo-shiwola Eredo Epe Lagos, set up a preparatory/foundation class for students preparing to sit for JAMB in the year 2024, tagged Zafran Educational Project. This class was set up to prepare students of the community and its environs who aspire to gain admission into tertiary institutions. This is one of the numerous goals of the foundation as promised by the founder Mr. Felix Olugbenga Zafrani during the launching of the Foundation in November 2023 and it is set up for eight weeks, January to February of year 2024. At the end of the classes, free JAMB form will be given to students.
During the registration period of the program, one will be amazed at the turnout of students who came for the program. Students from Odo-shiwola, Ibonwon, Odo-iragunshin, Odo-Ayan, Ilara, Ora, and Odo-iyangunshin Odo-gbawojo to mention but few were present.
Speaking with the Publicity Director of the foundation, Mr Olatunji Ayodele Taiwo, “despite little publicity the foundation did for this project, I don’t believe we could have this number”, he said.
Alh. Olatunji Kehinde who is the vice chairman of the foundation and also the anchor of the program introduced executive members of the foundation which includes; Mr Zafrani Olugbenga Felix (Founder), Dr Wasiu Ilori Sulaimon (Chairman), Mr Adenaiya Adeyemi, Mr Oluwaseun Omotanwa Soliu(Secretary), Ms Ilesanmi Sariat, Mr Olatunji Ayodele Taiwo (Social Director) and Akinpeju Akinsanya Abiodun(Auditor). Also at the event was Hon. Okesanya former leader of the House Eredo Local Council Development Area, Mr. Wole Akala and Comrade Teslim Sultan representing Concerned NationBuilders Initiative (CNI Nigeria)Olugbenga Zafrani (Founder) of Zafran Royal Foundation gave the students a befitting opening speech and also advised the students on the importance of education. He shared with the students his personal story on how he was able to mentor himself in getting a university education and advise the students to study hard so that they can be successful. He also gave career talks to the students. He asked the students their motives for attending the class in which most of the students gave different answers.
Dr Wasiu Ilori Sulaimon, while giving his speech said that the students are very lucky to be part of the program, he doesn’t have the opportunity to get orientation or motivation from anyone, and the only thing that happened then was to finish your secondary education and go for apprenticeship of a trade.
He proceeded that what motivated him was when he saw young boys and girls attending lectures at Ogun State University (OSU) Ijebu-igbo Ogun State. He believed, he was better than them and devoted his time and mind that he was going to attend university to become someone better in life. He also advised the students not to imitate anyone in whatever they wanted to do or be forced to do what they didn’t have the intention of doing because different people with different strengths.
Hon. Ademola Adenola Okesanya congratulates all participants for having the free will to attend the program because if anyone is forced to be in the program he/she will not have much to gain. He also emphasised on importance of education and explained five important things one should take into consideration for taking a bold step to success which are Ambition, Determination, Willingness, Desire and Passion.

After the career talk and orientation, the classes began with the founder Mr. Felix Zafrani taking students on science subjects (physics) and the vice chairman Alh. Olatunji Kehinde taking mathematics while Dr Suliamon provides refreshments for all the students.
Speaking with OKEMAGBA NEWS, Mr. Wole Akala, said, that if we can have more NGOs supporting the community and its clan, the pressure on the government will be reduced and it will foster the development of the community. He also advised that individuals and organizations who can give back to the community should do so.
Also speaking to one of the beneficiaries Miss Ademago Faithia, “I thank the founder of the foundation and the entire members of the foundation for the privilege and opportunity given to us to be part of this program and this is an opportunity for me to further my education, she said. She also implores other notable personalities and NGOs to imitate the Zafran Royal Foundation.
