ADC Intensifies Grassroots Mobilisation in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Unveils Strategic Roadmap Ahead of 2027 Elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has intensified its grassroots mobilisation efforts in Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Epe Division, following a series of strategic meetings aimed at strengthening the party's structures and preparing for the 2027 general elections.

The high-level engagements brought together the party's candidates, local leaders, ward executives, and stakeholders to deliberate on practical measures for expanding the ADC's presence across communities within the LCDA.

The first meeting featured the ADC Lagos East Senatorial Candidate, Hon. Babatunde Olarewaju, the party's Lagos State House of Assembly Candidate for Epe Constituency II, Hon. Balogun Akeem Olawale, Ward Chairmen, and other party officials. The meeting was facilitated by Hon. Segun Alimi, who urged members to remain united and committed to building a formidable grassroots political structure capable of delivering electoral success.A second strategy meeting was subsequently held with the ADC House of Representatives Candidate for Epe Federal Constituency, Hon. Ogunnoiki Abiola Babatunde, alongside Hon. Balogun Akeem Olawale and other party stakeholders.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the political landscape within Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA and adopted a number of resolutions aimed at strengthening the party's grassroots campaign ahead of the 2027 polls.

Among the key decisions reached was the approval of a week-long strategic mobilisation exercise scheduled to run from Monday, July 27 to Friday, July 31. The initiative will involve meetings across towns and villages within the LCDA and will be coordinated by Hon. Segun Alimi and Pastor John Olaniyan.

The stakeholders also approved the establishment of a comprehensive Mobilisation Team comprising several specialised sub-teams that will coordinate voter engagement, community outreach, logistics, communications, and other campaign-related activities.

As part of the mobilisation drive, the party announced that the Mobilisation Team and its sub-teams would be formally inaugurated on Sunday, August 2, signalling the commencement of a wider grassroots campaign across the LCDA.

The meeting further reaffirmed the commitment of party leaders to work collectively toward securing victory for the ADC in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA during the 2027 general elections. Stakeholders expressed confidence that sustained grassroots engagement and effective community mobilisation would strengthen the party's electoral prospects despite the political challenges ahead.

Following the meetings, party leaders proceeded to Ikosi Village, where the House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Balogun Akeem Olawale, continued consultations with local party leaders and residents as part of ongoing grassroots engagements.

In a separate development, the House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Ogunnoiki Abiola Babatunde, met with members of his extended family to formally notify them of his emergence as the ADC flagbearer for the Epe Federal Constituency and to seek their support ahead of the campaign season.

Party leaders maintained that although financial resources remain limited, members are determined to sustain the mobilisation campaign through commitment, volunteerism, and collective effort.

According to the stakeholders, the ADC will continue to engage communities across Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA with the aim of strengthening its support base and presenting itself as a viable alternative in the 2027 general elections.

The meetings form part of the party's broader strategy to consolidate its structures at the grassroots and enhance political participation across Epe Division as preparations for the next electoral cycle gather momentum.
