UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS RELEASES 2023/24 POST UTME FORM

The University of Lagos online registration for the POST UTME Screening into ALL COURSES PROGRAMMES for the 2023/2024 Academic Year will commerce from Monday, 10th of July  to Friday, 29 July 2023.

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES

◾Candidates who made Univer
sity of Lagos their first choice in the 2023/2024 UTME and score 200 and above are eligible for screening in addition candidates must possess five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant O'level subjects including English Language and Mathematics

◾Only candidates who must have uploaded their O'Level results on JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) on or before 13th August, 2023 will be considered for admission

◾Candidates, who will not be sixteen (16) years of age by 31st October, 2323 are not eligible and need not apply. 

◾Candidates who do not participate in the Post-UTME Screening will not be considered for admission.

◾Former students of the University whose admissions were withdrawn on the basis of poor academic performance or absence status could re-apply on condition that the new admission shall be for a new programmelcourse different from the former programme/course

◾Any student expelled from the University cannot be offered fresh admission

Note: Post-UTME on-line aptitude test will hold from Monday, 31st July to Friday, 4th August, 2023

Lagos State Government to Ban Danfo and Korope Buses on October 1.

By Sultan Oluwaseunayofunmi , The Lagos State Government has said there’s no going back on the planned enforcement banning operations of all unregulated commercial bus operations, such as  Danfos and Koropes, along the Lekki-Epe corridor, from October 1, 2024. The special adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on transportation, Sola Giwa, disclosed this in a chat with Vanguard on Saturday, July 14.  He said that the reminder on the planned ban, which is in line with the Lagos State Strategic Transportation Master Plan (STMP), was to dismiss rumours that the move had been suspended. Giwa stated that a stakeholders’ meeting was held with bus operators and union leaders on their need to comply before October 1 to successfully regulate and integrate the informal transport sector into the State’s Bus Reform Initiative using the corridor as a pilot test. Outcry in Epe: Residents Demand Fairness Over Dual Toll Gates on Epe/Ijebu-Ode Expressway

By Sultan Tensions are rising in Lagos State’s Epe Division as residents and stakeholders voice growing frustration over what they describe as unfair toll practices on the recently renovated Epe/Ijebu-Ode Expressway. The controversy centers around two toll gates situated on the same road—allegedly managed separately by the Lagos and Ogun State governments. The presence of both tolls, locals argue, amounts to double taxation and places an unnecessary financial burden on daily commuters. Currently, road users report paying between ₦1,000 and ₦2,000 per trip, depending on the size and type of vehicle.
