PRINCESS DAMILOLA ROCKS IBONWON TOWN WITH ALL WHITE PARTY IN GRAND STYLE

As the yuletide season is being celebrated all around the globe, Ibonwon town was not excluded as Princess Damilola Ogegbo Olayinka organized an ALL-WHITE PARTY to celebrate and be merry with the youth of the town and its environs.

The event which held on Boxing day at the town social arena , Idi-iroko, was graced by the community leader, The Ogegbo of Ibonwon and some of his entourage
Speaking with OKEMAGBA NEWS, Princess Damilola Ogegbo Olayinka, said the party wasn't a party but a carnival to have fun and to show that the town is also lively.

"I've been in this town for more than two years now and there was no funfair during the Christmas and New Year periods, that is why I decided to organize this carnival. Youth of this town always go to the neighbouring town to celebrate the season which always made Ibonwon dull, she said.

Princess Damilola Olayinka implores the youth of the town to embrace this initiative to add fun to the town and also uses the medium to boost the economy of the town. She also seeks support from various youth organizations in the town so that the carnival can be more elaborate and fun-filled in future years.

Ms. Banjo Kemi, who is one of the vendors at the carnival appreciated the organizer of the event, she said, the event brought an influx of crowds to the town which allowed her and other vendors to have more sales.

Young artists and comedians from the town and communities around Epe were present and performed at the carnival. The avenue was also used to promotes, showcases and encourages talented young ones in the music industry. Some of the artists present are M.C. Slim, Golenboi Empire (Ibonwon), Jaymax, Subanj, Dammy Godswish, X-Cross, Harbiosket, and D.J Face. Also, comedians like Bosa, PortableTomi, Da'Mellow and Officer Shile to mention but few makes the event a unique and memorable one.
Olori Abiodun Ogegbo, the Queen of Ibonwon town was also celebrated at midnight as she added another year to her years. 27th of December is her birthday, and special birthday songs were sung for her. After, there were lots of games, competitions and fun
Different security agencies were at the carnival which made the event a cool and calm one.

Lagos State Government to Ban Danfo and Korope Buses on October 1.

By Sultan Oluwaseunayofunmi , The Lagos State Government has said there’s no going back on the planned enforcement banning operations of all unregulated commercial bus operations, such as  Danfos and Koropes, along the Lekki-Epe corridor, from October 1, 2024. The special adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on transportation, Sola Giwa, disclosed this in a chat with Vanguard on Saturday, July 14.  He said that the reminder on the planned ban, which is in line with the Lagos State Strategic Transportation Master Plan (STMP), was to dismiss rumours that the move had been suspended. The controversy centers around two toll gates situated on the same road—allegedly managed separately by the Lagos and Ogun State governments.
