Mr. Idris Tele Olukoya, the founder of Concerned NationBuilder Initiative (CNI Nigeria) has once again sent out a call to well-meaning Nigerians to rally around the less privileged in society to live better lives.
Speaking with OKEMAGBA NEWS at the turbaning ceremony of newly installed Chiefs at the Late Mukaddam Tele-Olukoya Memorial Mosque, Ibonwon, Epe Lagos State.
While thanking the management of the mosque, he said, "I must sincerely appreciate the management of the mosque who has found me worthy of such an exalted title amongst my Muslim brethren”.
“I prayed, Allah should give us the necessary opportunity and understanding to perform the duties of Islamic Chiefs as expected of us”.
He also mentioned the proposed food distribution programme of the CNI Nigeria which is an annual project of the group. He said, "We are planning to reach out to over two hundred and fifty (250) people this year. And we will make all frantic efforts to get it done by the Grace of God”.
“It must be noted that there is a lot of poverty and starvation in the land. The economy is not smiling at a lot of people at the grassroots”.
“Our partners are ready to let us go a long way in achieving this great and laudable project”.
“We wish this time, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Epe, Eredo and Ibeju Lekki branches, LEYOSA, EYO (Ejirin Youth Organisation) etc join forces in achieving this goal”.
“We shouldn’t be blaming the government at all times. We can also assist ourselves in one way or the other”.
“The food distribution project will go through all the five (5) local councils in Epe Division which include; Epe, Eredo, Ibeju-Lekki, Lekki and Ikosi-Ejirin”.
While speaking on the youth's recklessness and others' social vices in society, he advised, “We all need to support the government and our political office holders in Epe and the state at large”.
“We need selfless support from the youth wing this time around. We must all see Nigerian Project as ours”
“Our country needs us more now than before. We are the leaders of tomorrow in this country and today matters most to us”.
