SOUL LIFTER FOUNDATION AND COMMUNITY MEDICS GAVE FREE MEDICAL CHECKUP FOR OVER 400 INDIVIDUALS IN EPE COMMUNITY (Video)

It was a big opportunity for the Okemagba community of Eredo LCDA, Epe, Lagos as Community Medics visited to give free medical checkups, for over 400 individuals within Ibonwon, Ilara, Igbo-oye Odo-shiwola, Odo-iyangunshin, Odo-gbawojo Ora, Odo-ajogun and Odo-Ayan
Saturday 1st of June 2024 was a blessing for clans of the Okemagba community both old and young, as the Community Medics arrived at the Ibonwon town in Eredo LCDA Lagos State.
The team which was led by Princess Islamiyah Abiodun Oyefusi, Chairperson Soul Lifter Foundation, arrived the community despite the delay they encountered on their way from Ikorodu. The community medic team were sectioned into three which are, the general health check led by Dr. Pero, the mental health check led by Dr. Ade, and the eye check which was led by Dr. Mrs. Omoh
Speaking with one of our correspondent, Princess Islamiyah Abiodun Oyefusi said the free medical outreach is brought to the community by a nongovernmental organizations called Soul Lifter Foundation in order to meet some of the medical needs of the grassroot and to make an impact in their life of downtroddens in all communities.of Lagos State. The team has reach out to seventeen communities in which Epe has been part of it.
The aim of the reach out was inspired the word of John Kennedy "ask not what the country can do for you but ask what you can do for the country". Giving back to the community will make our country a better place"., she said.
Dr. Mrs Omoh an optometrist who represent community medics in the eye section, said the community medics comes to the community to eve free medical checkups, free eye test an also give free eyes glasses to the people at the grassroot. She thanked the community leader, the Ogegbo of Ibonwon Land, on his role in making the reach out a success as the team deals with communities. Princess Islamiyah Oyefusi was overwhelmed by the number of people that came out in mass for the free medical checkup and promise to bring food bank to Epe soonest. She urge other NGOs to also reach out to people. "You don't have to be massive or mega before you can make that important impact, even if it little it goes a long way".
