New Leadership Elected for Conference of Community Youth Leaders Eredo LCDA

In a pivotal moment for the young people of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Com. Ismaila Wahaab Tunde has ascended to the presidency, succeeding Com. Lamina Hammed. This significant election took place on February 9, 2025, during the 65th meeting of the Conference of Community Youth Leaders at Poka Base, showcasing vibrant participation from youth representatives across various communities.

Com. Ismaila, formerly the youth leader of Ibonwon, expressed profound gratitude to all attendees for their trust and support. He stated, "This position extends beyond leadership; it's about service." His administration is committed to fostering unity and development through initiatives designed to create opportunities for youth, enhance their skills, and promote community involvement. "We will collaborate with stakeholders to tackle the key issues facing the youth in Eredo LCDA," he affirmed.

The newly elected executive team alongside Com. Ismaila includes: Com. Tijani Saheed as Vice President, representing Odogbonle, Com. Ismaila Olabo as Secretary, representing Odomola and Com. Adeyemi Adeleke as Treasurer, representing Igbooye

The meeting also marked a leadership shift in Imokun, with Com. Ajayi Ibraheem stepping in as the new youth leader, succeeding Com. Taye Agbaje.

Reflecting on his term, outgoing president Com. Lamina Hammed shared pride in his administration’s accomplishments. "Leading this body has been an incredible journey. I encourage the new leadership to remain focused and committed to making a difference. Our communities rely on dynamic and innovative youth leadership," he remarked.

The election process was lauded by community stakeholders and youth representatives, who conveyed optimism about the new administration’s ability to implement impactful projects and engage effectively with government initiatives aimed at improving the Eredo LCDA community.
