Hon. Julius Babatunde Awoniake Launches Political Campaign in Ward J1

Hon. Julius Babatunde Awoniake has officially kicked off his political campaign with a strategic meeting in Ward J1, which includes the communities of Odoshiwola, Igbonla, and Ibonwon—his maternal hometown.

In his opening remarks, Hon. Awoniake expressed deep gratitude to God for the successful conclusion of Ramadan, acknowledging the commitment of the Muslim community to their fast. He encouraged them to embody the principles of justice and sincerity, as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). Hon. Awoniake also extended warm regards to Christians observing the Lenten fast, wishing them well during this significant period.
During his speech, Hon. Awoniake articulated his vision for enhancing revenue generation within Eredo LCDA and its neighboring areas. He highlighted the importance of investing in human capital development and promoting progressive policies that foster economic growth and sustainable development.

He called upon all stakeholders and party elders to prioritize fairness and unity, emphasizing the need to preserve the party’s legacy while advancing the community’s progress.
Hon. Awoniake urged party members, supporters, and all well-wishers to stay dedicated to the shared goal of development and good governance. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people with integrity, ensuring that Eredo LCDA flourishes under effective leadership.

As the campaign gathers momentum, Hon. Awoniake pledged to maintain active engagement with community leaders, youth groups, and stakeholders to foster meaningful progress in the region.

Lagos State Government to Ban Danfo and Korope Buses on October 1.

The special adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on transportation, Sola Giwa, disclosed this in a chat with Vanguard on Saturday, July 14.  He said that the reminder on the planned ban, which is in line with the Lagos State Strategic Transportation Master Plan (STMP), was to dismiss rumours that the move had been suspended.
