Traditional Rulers Chart Path for Inclusive Governance at NCTRN Executive Meeting in Lagos

By Sultan Oluwaseunayofunmi The National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN) held its Executive Committee Meeting in Lagos on Monday, October 13, 2025, with the Lagos State Government playing host. The high-profile gathering, themed “The Traditional Institution: The Imperative of Its Inclusion in Effective and Efficient Governance in Nigeria,” brought together royal fathers and political leaders from across the country at the Lagos Continental Hotel. The meeting was presided over by His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, alongside the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.
