CNI Executive, Olori Funmilayo Ayoola Kassin, Dies After Sudden Asthma Attack in Epe

The Concerned NationBuilders Initiative (CNI) Nigeria has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of one of its executives, Olori Funmilayo Ayoola Kassin, who passed away on Tuesday in Epe after suffering an asthma attack at work.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred while the deceased was eating at her office. Colleagues rushed her to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Epe, in a desperate attempt to save her, but medical personnel confirmed that all efforts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful.

Her passing has left her family, colleagues, church members, and neighbors in shock. She was buried later that day at her husband’s residence in Epe, where family, friends, and associates gathered to pay their last respects.

In a tribute, Mrs. Olapeju Àkànjí, Treasurer of CNI Nigeria, described the deceased as “a fun-loving individual who knew how to handle situations,” adding that she was “one of the pillars that firmly held CNI Nigeria together.”

Members of CNI Nigeria were in attendance to honor her memory and commiserate with her husband, who also serves as the organization’s Welfare Director.

Among dignitaries at the burial were Lawyer Ayo Seriki, Commissioner 2, Civil Service Commission; Mr. Idris Tele Olukoya, Founder and Director-General of CNI; Mr. Musa Rasaki, Coordinator; Mr. Lawal Afeez, Deputy Coordinator; Mr. Teslim Sultan, Project Director; Mrs. Olapeju Àkànjí, Treasurer; and Mrs. Kassamu Jumoke, Auditor.

The death of Olori Funmilayo Ayoola Kassin is regarded as a great loss to both the Concerned NationBuilders Initiative and the Epe community, where she was known and admired for her dedication and cheerful personality.

Colleagues often described her as dependable, approachable, and deeply passionate about the values of nation-building.

Her sudden passing has created a vacuum that will be felt for years to come, but her legacy of love, service, and dedication will continue to inspire those who knew her
