The Concerned NationBuilders Initiative (CNI) Nigeria has lost one of its executive members, Olori Funmilayo Ayoola Kassin, who passed away on Tuesday in Epe after a sudden asthma attack.

Eyewitness accounts revealed that the incident occurred while the deceased was eating at her workplace. Colleagues immediately rushed her to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Epe, but medical personnel confirmed that all efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.

Her death has been described as a rude shock to family members, colleagues, church associates, and residents of her community. She was laid to rest later that day at her husband’s residence in Epe.

Speaking on the development, Mrs. Olapeju Àkànjí, Treasurer of CNI Nigeria, described the late Kassin as “a fun-loving personality who handled situations with wisdom.” She added that Kassin was one of the pillars of the organization, contributing significantly to its growth and stability.

Members of CNI Nigeria were present at the burial ceremony to pay their last respects and extend condolences to her husband, who also serves as the NGO’s Welfare Director.

Among dignitaries and CNI officials at the event were Lawyer Ayo Seriki, Commissioner 2, Civil Service Commission; Mr. Idris Tele Olukoya, Founder and Director-General of CNI; Mr. Musa Rasaki, Coordinator; Mr. Lawal Afeez, Deputy Coordinator; Mr. Teslim Sultan, Project Director; Mrs. Olapeju Àkànjí, Treasurer; and Mrs. Kassamu Jumoke, Auditor.

The passing of Olori Funmilayo Ayoola Kassin has left a significant void within CNI Nigeria, where her contributions and commitment to service will be remembered for years to come.
