Tributes have continued to pour in from across Nigeria and the international community as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu marks his 74th birthday, with political leaders, institutions, and stakeholders celebrating what they describe as a legacy defined by courage, reform-driven leadership, and enduring national impact.

One of the standout goodwill messages came from Otunba Ashiru Kabiru Abimbola, Director General of the Tinubu Campaign Support Organisation (TINCSO) and the National Procurement Secretary APC Support Group Leaders Forum (ASGLF)., who extolled the President as “a statesman of excellence” and “a transformational leader of international stature.”

In a statement issued on Sunday, Otunba Ashiru Kabiru Abimbola highlighted President Tinubu’s longstanding contributions to Nigeria’s democratic evolution. He recalled the President’s active role in the pro-democracy struggle that culminated in the end of military rule and ushered in the historic return to civilian governance in 1999. According to him, Tinubu’s efforts during that defining period remain “indelible in the nation’s history.”

The statement further underscored the President’s strategic influence in shaping Nigeria’s contemporary political landscape, particularly through his pivotal role in the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The emergence of the APC, he noted, laid the groundwork for the landmark 2015 general elections, which witnessed the first peaceful transfer of power from an incumbent administration to the opposition—an event widely regarded as a milestone in Nigeria’s democratic consolidation.

Reflecting on Tinubu’s presidency since assuming office in 2023, the TINCSO Director General commended the administration’s bold economic and structural reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Key policy initiatives, including the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange market, were described as decisive steps aimed at restoring fiscal transparency, strengthening economic stability, and boosting investor confidence.

Otunba Ashiru also pointed to critical social investment programmes such as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), describing them as clear indicators of the administration’s commitment to youth empowerment, access to education, and sustainable national development.

Beyond economic and policy reforms, President Tinubu was praised for promoting democratic values, strengthening institutional frameworks, and fostering inclusive governance that encourages dialogue and cooperation across political divides.

“As he marks 74, President Tinubu stands as a symbol of purposeful leadership—defined by courage, vision, and an unwavering commitment to national progress,” Otunba Ashiru stated.

He concluded by offering prayers for the President’s continued strength, wisdom, and good health, expressing confidence in his capacity to guide Nigeria toward greater stability, prosperity, and global relevance.
