A New Dawn in Epe: ADC Unveils Fresh Leadership, Signals Strong Push Toward 2027

In what has been widely described as a defining moment for grassroots politics, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Epe officially announced its newly elected Local Government Area (LGA) and Ward executives, marking a bold step toward strengthening its structure ahead of future elections.

The historic event took place at Ibonwon, hosted at the country home residence of Dr. Abimbola Ogunkelu in Eredo Local Council Development Area. Party faithful, stakeholders, and ward representatives from Epe Central, Eredo, and Agbowa gathered in large numbers to witness what many described as a “new dawn” for the party.

Proceedings commenced on a solemn note with an opening prayer delivered by a party member, setting the tone for unity and collective purpose. The event was anchored by Mr. Alimi, who invited Chief Babatunde Olanrewaju (popularly known as Bob-Turner) to deliver the opening address.

In his speech, Chief Olanrewaju highlighted the evolving structure of the party and commended key leaders—including Dr. Ogunkelu and himself be hosts of others for their unwavering efforts in stabilizing and advancing the ADC across Epe. He further revealed significant strides made in distributing membership cards across all wards and facilitating part payments for aspiration and consent forms for both LGA and Ward executives.

Emphasizing unity, he urged members to embrace love, cooperation, and inclusiveness, especially as the party builds new alliances. According to him, the renewed structure and growing support base position ADC as a formidable force capable of securing multiple victories in the 2027 elections.

Adding his voice, Mr. Ajiborisha advised members to prioritize peace and unity, acknowledging that misunderstandings may arise but should be managed constructively for the greater good of the party.

The highlight of the event was the formal announcement and endorsement of Ward executives, followed by the unveiling of the LGA executive list. Each name was met with collective approval from party members present, signaling strong internal consensus.

Following the announcement, the newly elected LGA Chairman, Mr. Amumi Fuad, delivered a heartfelt acceptance speech. He stressed that cooperation, peace, unity, and mutual respect remain the foundation for achieving lasting success within the party.

He cautioned against acts of division or personal ambition that could undermine the party’s collective goals, noting that such actions could ultimately weaken the organization. Instead, he called on members to remain committed to shared values and work together for sustainable growth and political victory.

The event concluded on a hopeful note, with members expressing renewed confidence in the party’s direction and leadership—setting the stage for a more united and strategically positioned ADC in Epe.
