ADC Primaries in Epe Record Massive Turnout as Party Members Declare Readiness for General Elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) primary election for the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, and House of Senate in Epe Constituency 1 witnessed an impressive turnout of party faithful and stakeholders, as members gathered in large numbers at 103 Lagos-Epe Expressway, Ita-Opo, Epe, Lagos, to participate in the democratic exercise.The primary election, which commenced at about 11:48 a.m., was coordinated by the LGA Chairman *Mr. Fuad Amuni,* who carefully outlined the electoral process and appreciated members for their dedication, peaceful conduct, and unwavering loyalty to the party.
Party members from various wards across Epe Constituency 1, which includes A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, B1, C1, and D1, turned out massively to demonstrate their commitment to the growth and success of the ADC in the constituency. The atmosphere at the venue reflected unity, enthusiasm, and confidence in the party’s future ahead of the general elections.
Observers from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) *Agbador Ezekiel* and the DDS office were also present throughout the exercise to monitor the process and ensure transparency and credibility.
The primary election began with the selection process for the House of Assembly candidate, where Mrs. Olatunji Ganiu Deborah emerged. This was followed by the House of Representatives primary, which produced Hon. Ogunnoiki Abiola B. as the party’s candidate, while the exercise concluded with the emergence of Hon. Babatunde Olanrewaju as the House of Senate candidate.
Party members and stakeholders described the entire exercise as peaceful, free, fair, and transparent, noting that the aspirants enjoyed the overwhelming support and confidence of party members across the constituency.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, Mr. Ajiborisha stated that the growing popularity and acceptance of ADC in Epe clearly showed that the party had come to stay. According to him, Epe had long been dominated by the APC, but ADC was steadily gaining ground through its people-oriented approach and inclusive leadership style.
He urged all emerged candidates to remain steadfast, committed, and connected to grassroots members across the wards in order to build a better Lagos and Nigeria. He further expressed confidence that victory awaits the party if the candidates maintain close relationships with the people and continue promoting unity within the party structure.
Also speaking at the event, Ms. Oluwo Shola of Epe ADC Women commended the peaceful and transparent nature of the primary election, describing it as a positive sign ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
She expressed optimism that the party would record significant victories at the polls and advised all party members and aspirants to rally round the candidates who eventually emerged from the exercise. According to her, unity, cooperation, and collective support would be essential for ADC’s success in Epe and beyond.
The successful conduct of the primary election has further strengthened the confidence of party members and supporters, many of whom believe that ADC is gradually positioning itself as a strong political force within Epe Constituency and Lagos State at large.
