2027 Presidency: ADC Leaders Meet in Epe, Review Grassroots Strategies

Hon.  Babatunde Olanrewaju urges party members to unite under ADC umbrella, unveils grassroots mobilisation plans

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Epe, Lagos State, has commenced a fresh round of strategic engagements ahead of the 2027 general elections, as key stakeholders of the party gathered to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure and prepare for the forthcoming presidential election.

The critical stakeholders’ meeting brought together ADC candidates, local government executives, ward chairmen, party leaders and representatives from various wards within the Epe political structure.

The meeting, which was centred on strategy, mobilisation and internal coordination, provided an opportunity for stakeholders to review political activities across the wards and discuss measures to position the party for a stronger showing in the 2027 elections.

Ward representatives give situation reports

A major feature of the meeting was the presentation of reports by representatives from the various wards.

The representatives briefed the gathering on developments within their respective wards, giving accounts of ongoing activities, grassroots mobilisation, party organisation and the general political situation in their areas.

The reports provided the stakeholders with an opportunity to compare experiences across the different wards and identify areas where further efforts and coordination would be required.

The meeting also reinforced the importance of having functional ward structures capable of maintaining regular contact with party members and engaging residents at the grassroots.

Hon. Babatunde Olanrewaju outlines grassroots strategy

Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Babatunde Olanrewaju presented his plans for strengthening political activities and mobilisation within his area.

Olanrewaju explained the approach being adopted in his ward and encouraged other wards to consider adopting similar strategies, where applicable, to improve their level of organisation and grassroots engagement.

According to him, effective political mobilisation should not be restricted to the period immediately preceding an election, but should involve consistent engagement with members and the wider community.

He urged the various ward structures to develop practical and sustainable strategies that could help deepen the party’s presence across Epe ahead of the 2027 elections

Okemagba Muslims Stage Historic Mega Rally to Celebrate Birth of Prophet Muhammad

By Sultan Teslim  The Muslim communities of Okemagba came alive on Thursday, September 4, 2025 (12th Rabiul-Awwal 1447AH), as thousands of faithful converged in a colorful mega rally to mark the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Mawlid an-Nabī). The event was spearheaded by Monba-un-Ridoh International, under the leadership of its founder and Chief Missioner, Al-Khalifa Sheikh AbdulGaniy Dan Musa Alayaki, in collaboration with DAZWAT, led by Sheikh Abdulsalam Shafihi Zambo, and JAZWAB, led by Sheikh Ahmod Abdulhammed Ajagbemokeferi. The rally commenced simultaneously from Odo-Ayan, Ibonwon, and Ilara communities at 7:00 a.m., with participants marching through major streets. By Sultan Teslim  Epe, Lagos Olukoya, Adekoya Emerge as Youth Leaders Amid Disagreements The youths of Ibonwon community in Eredo Local Council Development Area of Epe, Lagos State, have elected Mr. Kazeem Olukoya Owolodun, popularly known as 1Litre, as their new Youth Leader. Mr. Kazeem Adekoya was also elected as Deputy Youth Leader. The election, held at the weekend, drew a large turnout of youths and stakeholders, including former youth leaders Comrade Wakilu Mayor and Comrade Jimoh (Jomo).
