The African Democratic Congress in Epe Division of Lagos State has commenced its grassroots mobilisation for the 2027 general elections with the launch of the Atiku–Amaechi Campaign Organisation, signalling an intensification of the party’s efforts to build support for its presidential ticket across the division.

The campaign organisation was launched as part of the party’s preparations for the 2027 elections, with the ADC Epe Division leadership calling on members, supporters and grassroots organisers to take the mobilisation campaign to communities, wards and polling units across the division.

The ADC’s 2027 presidential ticket comprises former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate and former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, as his running mate. The party has submitted their nomination particulars to the Independent National Electoral Commission ahead of the election.

Speaking at the launch, the ADC Epe Division Chairman, Comrade Amuni Fuad Adebayo, reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and ensuring greater participation by members across Epe Division.

Adebayo urged ADC members and supporters to become actively involved in the electoral process, particularly by obtaining their Permanent Voter’s Cards and participating fully in the party’s mobilisation and organisational activities.

He charged members to take the campaign to their respective communities, wards and polling units, stressing the importance of grassroots engagement in building the party’s electoral strength ahead of the 2027 polls.

The chairman called on party members to mobilise support for Atiku and Amaechi, as well as other candidates contesting the 2027 elections on the ADC platform.

He further urged members to pursue the mobilisation exercise peacefully, saying unity, discipline, effective coordination and active participation would be critical to strengthening the ADC’s presence across Epe Division.

The launch comes as political parties intensify their preparations for the 2027 general elections, with grassroots mobilisation increasingly becoming a major component of their electoral strategies.

The ADC national leadership has positioned the Atiku–Amaechi ticket as a platform aimed at offering Nigerians an alternative political direction ahead of the 2027 election.

For the Epe Division leadership, the immediate task is to translate the party’s national campaign into a strong grassroots organisation capable of reaching voters across communities and polling units within the division.

Adebayo therefore called for greater cooperation among members and stakeholders, urging them to put aside differences and work collectively towards strengthening the ADC and advancing its electoral campaign in Epe Division.

The launch marks a significant step in the division’s preparations for the 2027 general elections and the commencement of a more structured grassroots mobilisation campaign for the ADC’s Atiku–Amaechi ticket.
