New Leadership Takes Charge: Com. Ismaila Wahaab Tunde Elected President of Conference of Community Youth Leaders Eredo LCDA
In a significant development for the youth of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Com. Ismaila Wahaab Tunde has been elected as the new president, succeeding Com. Lamina Hammed. The election, held on February 9, 2025, during the 65th meeting of the Conference of Community Youth Leaders at Poka Base, was marked by enthusiastic participation from youth representatives across various communities.
Com. Ismaila, who previously served as the youth leader of Ibonwon, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the attendees for their trust and support. "This position is not just about leadership but about service," he emphasized. His administration aims to foster unity and development, focusing on initiatives that create opportunities for youth, enhance their skills, and promote community engagement. "We will collaborate with stakeholders to address the pressing issues facing the youth in Eredo LCDA," he pledged.
Joining Com. Ismaila in the new executive team are:
- **Com. Tijani Saheed** as Vice President and youth leader of Odogbonle
- **Com. Ismaila Olabo** as Secretary and youth leader of Odomola
- **Com. Adeyemi Adeleke** as Treasurer and youth leader of Igbooye
The meeting also saw a leadership transition in Imokun, with Com. Ajayi Ibraheem stepping in as the new youth leader, taking over from Com. Taye Agbaje.
Reflecting on his tenure, outgoing president Com. Lamina Hammed shared his pride in the achievements made during his leadership. "Leading this body has been a remarkable experience.
