By Sultan Teslim  The Lagos State Government has announced the appointment of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, Telade IV , the Alara of Ilara-Epe , as the 6th Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU). The announcement was formally approved by the Governor of Lagos State and Visitor to the University, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu . The decision was conveyed in an official statement signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mr. Emmanuel A. Fanu, dated Sunday, February 15, 2026.
